WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) reduces the stigma around Mental Health and develops a healthy mental health culture in the workplace, in addition to boosting knowledge of Mental Health and wellness. Persons who finish this course will be equipped with the information and tools to assist and support colleagues and other individuals with their Mental Health and well-being.

Mental health has gotten a lot of attention lately, and for good reason. Despite the fact that it was once, and possibly still is, a taboo subject, there is nothing taboo about it when it comes to family, friends, and work colleagues. The main goal of this course is to teach participants how to identify those who may be impacted by it and how to assist them by deepening their understanding of the subject. CPR isn't the only way to save a life.

Mental Health Ambassador Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett once said “There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk. Listen, if you’re a man and you’ve got a weight on your shoulders and you think the only way you can solve it is by killing yourself – please speak to someone. Speak to anyone People would rather, I know I’d rather, have their mate cry on their shoulder than go to their funeral. So please, let’s get rid of this stigma and men start talking.”

CERTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT

There will be a variety of educational approaches used to raise awareness of Mental Health, including real-life scenarios, videos, and group activities. You may take this course online through Zoom or in person with our Mental Health and Wellbeing educators. At the end of this two-day course, there will be a multiple-choice exam.

Each delegate will receive a certificate after successfully completing the Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health training (RQF). Certificates are valid for three years and are validated by the First Aid Awards by default (FAA).
